 The ancestors of the men in Big Smith homesteaded in the Ozark hills as early as the 1830's. They eventually settled in what is known as "Bull Creek Country." This is a picture of our great-great-great grandfather Sim Cupp and his farm by the creek. Our great-grandmother Mabel is second from right in the row of children. Sim was a Justice of the Peace and held court in one of these houses. This photo was taken around 1900. |
